Bags2school are coming to Derry Hill

Bags2school is a scheme where jumble is collected and exchanged for cash. Next Tuesday there will be a plastic sack in all the book bags. We would like everybody to try and fill their sack, and more if they can. The sack MUST be back at school by 9th July when they are being collected. Bags2school will give us £300 per tonne in weight of jumble. Please give generously. The scheme will run again in January 2009.

More Support Needed
www.easyfundraising.org.uk
Internet shopaholics…Please use this!!!
This is a free service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost to raise money for the school. You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally but, simply by using the links from the site first, each purchase you make will generate a cashback donation to the school.

100 Club Sadly the 100 Club did not get started again this year because there were not enough subscribers. Cheques will be returned by Mary in due course.

Blackout Blinds Within the next couple of weeks the School Hall is going to be fitted with blackout blinds which have been donated by the Friends. This will mean no more sticking black sacks over the windows to cut out the light enabling children to view the whiteboard more easily.

Games Night

Can we please put a plea out for helpers on Games Night (27th June). Class Reps are currently walking around with little timetables with plenty of slots to fill (list of class reps below so no excuse!). We also need helpers for the fete on 12th July where we’re running a childrens’ art and craft stall.

Tickets for the School Ball have now just about sold out and there is a waiting list starting up so if you haven’t paid up yet then now is the time!...Only payment will hold your seat.

This leads us on to the Sit Down Raffle which is held at the Ball. Last year this raised around £900. We need some LARGE RAFFLE PRIZES. If you know anybody or work for a company who might donate something large then would you mind approaching them. Prizes that were won at last year’s ball were worth in the region of £200 each.

Any Old Phones???

There are now two boxes in the Link Building, one for old mobile phones and one for toner cartridges. These go off to be recycled and earn money for the school so if you have either please donate them. Thank you.
