A brilliant turn-out and a successful day for our Parent Workshops
Congratulations to Water Team
The children had a great time taking part in the mini marathon on Friday. They showed so much resilience and all reached their mile target. A big thank you to Chippenham Sports Partnership for warming us up!
Dormouse, Hedgehog and Squirrel Classes all had a fantastic time with Jonathan’s Jungle. Everyone enjoyed finding out about unusual animals, and having the opportunity to hold and touch a variety of creatures.
On Friday 3rd March Derry Hill competed in the Chippenham High Five netball tournament at Hardenhuish school. We took a team of 8 pupils and played 6 matches against various other Chippenham primary schools. Of the 15 teams that started the tournament, the three top teams were put through to a round robin final where they all had to play against each other, the team from Derry Hill were included in these games. We are pleased to say that we ended as runners up, narrowly missing out on the top spot. We were very proud of all the players. their sportsmanship, commitment and team work were a credit to Derry Hill School. Congratulations to Lauren, Beatrice, Harry, Josh, Abi, Evie, Emi and Eleanora.
On Friday 10th March, the children in year 5 & 6 took part in the Chippenham School’s Rugby Tournament. They all performed brilliantly and have represented the school amazingly well.
We are very proud of the way they applied the skills they have been learning in P.E and during the afterschool club, as well as the resilience and positivity on show.
Well done Derry Hill!
