In Squirrel class this term we have been learning about Hinduism and Diwali. During the term we discovered how Diwali can create a sense of belonging. We learnt how Hindu's prepare for and celebrate the festival of light, and we planned and created our own party. On the last week of term, we held our Diwali party and invited lots of the teachers to join us. We created our own decorations including rag olives patterns and divas and we learnt some Diwali dances which we taught to our guests. We iced biscuits and had a wonderful time.
